Faithfulness in the Workplace
Sunday June 29, 2025 - Derek Yan
James 2:14-17
Big Idea: True faith produces visible faithfulness in our integrity, decisions, and daily work. The workplace isn't separate from our spiritual life - it's one of its clearest expressions.
Three Applications of Faithfulness from Daniel 6:
- 1. Faithfulness is Proven in the Small, Everyday Decisions
- Daniel 6:4 - No fault was found in him.
- Luke 16:10 - Faithful in little = faithful in much.
- James 2:17 - Faith without works is dead.
- Even our small actions are a reflection of our faith.
- 2. Faithfulness Refuses to Compromise, Even Under Pressure
- Daniel 6:10 - Daniel prayed openly, knowing the risk.
- Romans 12:2 - Be transformed, not conformed.
- Acts 5:29 - "We must obey God rather than men."
- True faith often means holding your ground when it's costly.
- 3. Faithfulness Endures Through Trials and Points Others to God
- Daniel 6:23 - Daniel was delivered because he trusted God.
- Galatians 6:9 - Don't grow weary in doing good.
- Matthew 7:24 - Build on the rock by doing what Jesus says.
- Faithfulness endures during hardships and trials.
